Ron joined the staff at Overlea Secondary in 1974 as Head of Science. We gathered the best math and science staff in the province. This led to the acclaimed math science, technology and space focus at MGCI in 1986. He developed the TOPS science curriculum, the Canadian Space Resource Centre and E.Y. Board Science Programme initiatives. He was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012. Ron has been actively involved in the Alumni Association since its inception. He has helped organize the many golf tournaments which acted as fund-raisers and was actively involved in planning school reunions (20th, 25th, 30th and 40th). He is currently a Director of the Alumni Association.
